Homestay Program

Although CIEE Berlin has its own residence hall, we strongly believe that a host family can intensively deepen the experience of living abroad, foster learning of the local language and the familiarity with Berlin culture. That's why we offer homestays as a housing option in almost each of our programs.

Help young people get more out of their experience abroad and become a host family with CIEE Berlin! Patchwork families, rainbow families, multi-generational families and other "alternative" family models are explicitly welcome! (There must be at least one adult over 25 years old in the family).

Host families are compensated with a reasonable allowance to offset additional costs, like breakfast and meals together, energy costs, etc.
